User reviews about Dot Lock

Update the APP, please. The DOT LOCK app is great, but it does not work with IOS11. I have very important data in this app and if they do not update it I have no way to recover my files. Please update the app. When it is updated, I will score again with 5 stars.

It's mostly fantastic. Barely any issues, all of them minor. . I use Dot Lock on my iPad, and it's brilliant. Seriously, it's fantastic. I've tried so many apps, but no others allow me to organise my art in colourful little folders, with what seems like an unlimited amount of space. Not to mention the brilliant addition of the notes function, which I can't find anywhere else - finally, I can brainstorm novel ideas without worrying about anyone reading them! I also like the private browser function, which keeps the internet searches made in-app from being listed in the web functions or internet history. It keeps all the research I do for my novel in one place, and then my usual browser is free and clean for the mundane googling of everyday life. The interface is user-friendly, and though you have to pay for the full app, I promise you that it's well worth it. The passcode functions are great - I like having two Dot Lock accounts, one for my writing, and one as a dummy in case anyone decides to see if they can crack the code. Two cons, though; - I'd really like a worded passcode - numbers or line patterns are just too easy to crack.- Notes on the real account tend to transfer to the dummy interface. Other than that, the app is great! The interface COULD be more chic or modern (it is a little boring) but it's definitely an appreciated application on my iPad, and I'd hate to lose it. Pros: The Notes functionFolders are fabulous Cons: Notes transfer to the dummy account (paid version only)Worded passcode would be great

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
